What default documents can/should I use on my web site?

Your home page must be called one of the following filenames in order for your site to load correctly when someone types www.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com
  • index.htm
  • index.html
  • index.asp
  • index.aspx
  • index.php
  • index.cfm
  • index.pl
  • default.asp
  • default.aspx
  • default.htm
If you do not use one of these files as your default home page, then you'll get a "Directory Listing Denied" error when you try to load your site.
You can now also add your own default file types from within Helm. On your domain's main menu, click the Advanced Domain Settings icon, then click the Default Documents icon. You can add, remove, and change the order of default documents for your web site.
